Indoor location tracking system
IDRO has an Indoor Positioning System technology using Visible Light Communication. Because it is difficult to receive GPS signals indoors, indoor positioning using GPS is almost impossible. Currently, the most popular method for indoor location tracking is using 2.45GHz Active RF technology or UWB technology. In this technique, 3 or more base stations are installed in the area to be measured, and the position of a tag located in this area is calculated by using a triangulation algorithm. This method has a disadvantage in that it may cause a lot of measurement errors depending on the arrangement of the surrounding walls or structures.
IDRO has the advantage of overcoming this problem because the position calculation is performed by transmitting the position information from the indoor lighting lamp. It can be easily used to track the position of a container or palette unit in an air-cargo, factory, or warehouse.
